Splat's patented natural formula is derived from cereal grain extracts and oils. The formulation combines spreading properties of oils with the tacky properties of starch. Splat encapsulates active chemistry into billions of <100 micron microsponges that tightly bind to the plant leaf in a protected honeycomb film that is resistant to wash off or solar degradation. Splat maximizes the performance of spray treatments, reduces the cost per acre of the application, reduces spray frequency and reduces the chemical load on the environment .
